    Community & Youth Involved Inc., located at 19 E. Maine Ave in Ft. Pierre is a non-profit organization, incorporated on June 23, 1975. The Center was built in 1982 with the help of many volunteers and fundraisers. The adjoining Senior Citizen Center was added on later, accommodating a gathering place for seniors, as well as our nutritional noon meal program and is available for rent for other activities.

    The CYI Center hosts a number of programs for the youth, such as summer recreation served with a noon meal, after school latch key program and a computer room. 

    The CYI Center is used by the Stanley County Schools for numerous activities which include athletic events, awards, an banquets. The center is also available for rent for reunions, wedding receptions, graduation receptions and many more special occasions.

    The CYI employs full-time Executive Director and several part-time employees to help run the programs and maintain the Center. The Center receives funding from the City of Ft. Pierre, Stanley County and The United Way. We also rely on fundraisers, donations, building rental and the help of many selfless volunteers to keep the doors open.
